An authentic Medieval crusader cross Coin Gold Plated necklace features a real ancient coin that is around 800 years old. The pendant features a Genuine Armenia Cilicia Knights bronze coin, the coin is dated 13th Century AD, during the reign of King Hethum I.
Very Good quality coin with many visible details and a light brown patina. On the front side a cross with Armenian inscription around it. On reverse is an image of the king seating, with his legs crossed and Armenian inscription around.

The coin in this listing was minted at the time of Hethum I, who ruled the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia from 1226 to 1270. Due to diplomatic relations with the Mongol Empire, Hethum himself traveled to the Mongol court in Karakorum, Mongolia, which was recorded in the famous account The Journey of Haithon, King of Little Armenia, To Mongolia and Back by Hetoum's companion, the Armenian historian Kirakos Gandzaketsi.
